New theatre space in Milton Keynes wants to fill its programme.

Hi guys,

Part of my responsibilities at the new arts faciity on the Lakes estate in milton keynes is to book in shows (small scale) small concerts, musicians, poetry, folk, one man shows lectures, chldrens shows, dance etc etc... and this is booking out now and we are after all kinds of stuff for the programme in its first year. This will be on a box office split basis no guarantees as yet sorry. And I will need to see evidence of your work and its standard. It will be a 60 to 80 seater venue and is due to open in May 2008. Contact via this web site in the first instance and i will pass on further contact details.

cheers John

Hi John

Yes the Stuttgart's Delights are cheap like that. We can do a 20 min spot, a play or a full blown 2 hours cabaret/burlesque/avant-garde spectacular (we've got friends)...

We can also run an improvisation workshop before or after the show.

Hi there,
I'm part of a Johnny Cash Tribute act that has played to sell out audiences over the last two years. I have just seen your post and just thought I'd send you some details in case it is of interest to your programmers.
If you would like further details or a demo cd and pics please email Marie at marie@milesconsulting.net
Many thanks in advance.
Marie

Man in Black - the essential tribute to Johnny Cash
A unique homage to the legendary Cash. The show takes you on a journey from the mid-fifties right up to the final recordings of Cash's career. You’ll get to hear all the great tunes from the hit movie, 'Walk the Line' and more. Including: Ring of Fire, I Walk the Line, Folsom Prison Blues, Cry Cry Cry, Big River, Get Rhythm, Cocaine Blues, I Got Stripes, San Quentin, A Boy Named Sue, Ghost Riders in the Sky and Man in Black.
A major highlight is when Johnny is joined onstage by June and they perform Jackson, It Ain't Me Babe and Long-Legged Guitar Pickin' Man, plus other great tunes.

“Two hours of great Johnny Cash music with a nice authentic sound and some great musicians - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope to see it again in the near future.” Lee Williams, Programme Controller, CMR Nashville, Europe’s Hottest 24/7 Country Music Service.

Available for bookings as a full 5 piece band, a 'Johnny and June' duo or just 'Johnny'.

Hi John,

I'm part of a young London theatre company called Metra Theatre. We are currently preparing for our third performance, 'The Revenger's Tragedy' which is part of the Enterprise 08 Festival at The Space Theatre in Docklands. We'll be performing at the end of March but would love to continue the show into the summer and would be very interested in applying to perform in Milton Keynes! Please take a look at our website: www.metratheatre.co.uk

Thanks, and we look forward to hearing from you!

Hi John,

I'm the producer for a new theatre company called Discombobulated and Me - we're currently working on our second show which will be on at the White Bear Theatre in Kennington 22nd April-11th May. It's based on the German expressionist film, 'The Cabinet of Dr Caligari' but with our own idiosyncratic style. We're also taking our previous show down to the Brighton Festival Fringe 20th-22nd May, which is based on the Cautionary Tales by Hilaire Belloc.

To find out more about our work, check our website (currently undergoing some major new developments so a bit sparse at the moment I'm afraid!) - www.discombobulatedandme.com

Would certainly be interested in taking either/both shows to Milton Keynes, and we are also constantly working on creating more exciting original productions for the future too.

Hope to hear from you...
Mill.
