New theatre space in Milton Keynes wants to fill its programme.

Hi guys,

Part of my responsibilities at the new arts faciity on the Lakes estate in milton keynes is to book in shows (small scale) small concerts, musicians, poetry, folk, one man shows lectures, chldrens shows, dance etc etc... and this is booking out now and we are after all kinds of stuff for the programme in its first year. This will be on a box office split basis no guarantees as yet sorry. And I will need to see evidence of your work and its standard. It will be a 60 to 80 seater venue and is due to open in May 2008. Contact via this web site in the first instance and i will pass on further contact details.

cheers John

Hi John

I am the Artistic Director of Restless Company. We specialise in creating adapatations of Shakespeare. At the moment we have a two man show that might interest you called "Human Alchemy". It is a two actor piece about domestic violence which uses one woman's testimony of her experiences mixed with physical theatre and Shakespearean text to tell her story. The piece has a running time of 30 minutes and has just returned from a theatre festival in Hildesheim. It is available for performance from September onwards. If you would like photos/video of the show, please contact me.

Hi John -
I am currently involved in the Comedy Drama 'Two' by Jim Cartwright (a 2 hander) that is currently touring across UK and going into next year also. We are always looking for other Venues. We have performed various spaces so far with seating capacity ranging between 48 - 238. The Company is Dreamshed Theatre. We have had great reviews so far and a listing in 'The Times' as Top 5 Theatre to see. I hope to hear back from you and we can chat more.
Cheers

Hi John,

Thanks for getting in touch - I am really interested in this opportunity (sorry for the delay in getting back to you - I have been out of the office in rehearsals). Can you send me a link to the website I need to apply through.

I can send you copies of our fantastic reviews and I also have some footage of the show online and on dvd if you prefer.

Hi John,

long time no speak! (S4K "Romeo and Juliet" 1999 in case you forgot)

I stumbled across you theatre details, and have had to join British Theatre to get to contact you? Is there not a straight forward e-mail address on your page?

Having done my stint of living out of a suitcase for three months at a time, I've set up my own company in Northants and after a successful schools tour earlier this year am hoping to get our adaptation of The Highwayman into professional venue next spring.

Have a look at the trailer and the website, and let me know if it's something you'd entertain hosting.
Meanwhile, it would be great to come over and see you again. A man with your experience must have a skip full of advice I could use!

Kind regards,

Mark

Hi. my name is Natahsa Dobie, I run 'Consort Productions' a new company aimed at promoting talent, and the fusing together of different art forms (opera, drama, musical theatre) and I'm looking for a venue to stage a series of 1hour performances over a number of weeks. We focus on small - scale theatre / concerts/ cabaret / one / two man shows / sketches, and am looking for places to stage them. They include: Talking Heads (drama pieces...acclaimed actor, RSC, Peter hall Company, TV etc), concert of favourite operatic arias (includes cast from Opera London, Opera Holland Park, Glyndebourn and chorus of ENO) cabaret performances (including shows that have performed at Pizza on the park, Halesworth festival etc. Musical theatre concert for under 18's (exceptional talent from west end and surrounding counties who are still in essence 'kids' among others. A professional production of 'The Bear' (William Walton) All concerts will need max 1.5 hours in the theatre, and I would be very happy to discuss details with you. I do hope we can interest you in our forthcoming project.

Best wishes
