Leeds based professional theatre company Cento Productions was founded in 2006
Cento’s name is derived from the Latin, cento, which meant mosaic or patchwork garment, and has come to mean a literary work compiled from other works.
Cento recognised production and performance as their forte and have been commissioning new pieces for performance.
Script Night Format
The Script Night format, in which 5 to 10 minute plays are performed script-in-hand, but fully staged, by professional local actors, evolved from discussions with The Carriageworks and has proved popular with growing audiences since Cento’s first Script Night outing in October 2007 and are now produced once a season at the venue.
Currently Planning 2010 productions and ventures.

Apologies for it all being quiet lately. We've been rehearsing for The Emerge Festival and recording radio plays for the "I Love West Leeds Festival".
The Emerge Festival is happening during the week starting the 20th of July. We're on Tuesday the 21st of July in the evening along with 2 other companies, each getting about an hour's stage time.
The I Love West Leeds Festival is currently running with broadcast of radio stuff happening next week! There's some final recording and editing to be done. I think our plays will be broadcast on the Wednesday (15 July 2009) It's an hour's worth of internet radio. It can be accessed and listened to live next week from the following link: Festival Radio
Fortunately you'll also be able to download the podcast from itunes etc a couple of days after the broadcast!
Will update you all with progress again soon!

Just a quick update everyone. We'll be emailing writers this weekend to submit things for our summertime show as part of The Emerge Festival in Leeds.
Lots of other ideas / plans in the pipeline so watch this space!

Script Night Renaissance was a brilliant success! Was great having David Riley and Jermy Fielding from on here both having written pieces we performed and whom both attended!
We're next taking part in the Emerge Festival in late July this year! We'll keep you posted as plans progress!

Just an FYI, there is also a Facebook group which has a great deal more members (36 to be exact) but I created this group so non-facebook users could also keep up-to-date. The same information will be on both groups eve though more people are on the Facebook one.
