What I do... (Actor, director, designer, teacher etc?)
I am an experienced actress and an experienced theatre researcher and professor. I am also a playwright and a beginner director.
My Quick CV
Lead actress in the international tour of "Metamorfosis" directed by La Fura dels Baus and Javier Daulte.
Perform my own one woman show "Phoolan is all of us" in diverse cities in Europe and the US (New York, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco, Berkeley, Madrid, Barcelona,
Played in two films by Almodovar and with other important directors.
Participant for the second time in the Chicago Directors Lab. Direction of my own one act "Lo Mein and Tequila" in Chicago thius summer. Directed readings of Shakespeare for Berkeley's "Subterranean Shakespeare"
Wrote a book about Contemporanenan Theatre in Indigenous Languages in Puebla, Mexico and participated in three Entepolas (Mexico, Cuba and Ecuador)
Taught theatre arts workshops and courses and gave numerous lectures in diverse universities in France, Mexico, US, Cuba, Spain...
The first thing that inspired me in theatre...
was my mother. She was an excellent amateur actress whose social situation and the Spanish Civil War did not allow her to continue with something she loved and she was excellent at.

I'd suggest ringing University of Northampton and ask for Victor Ukgaebu to see if they would welcome you. They often welcome performances and workshops depending if it is what they want , it is worth a try. As for myself I have written a monologue and will be performing it next year (gulp!).

If you ever drop into england then think about touring your play around the universities it could be interesting and relate to two of the modules.
