My Quick CV
Currently performing my one woman musical "The Dorothy Squries Story", recently toured with Aberystwyth Art Centre production of "Kindertransport", Last year toured in "Grannie Annie", comedy by Frank Vickery. Appeared in "Stars in Their Eyes" as Vera Lynn and I do events all over the UK & Eurpope singing her music. Perform in own murder mystery company Murder On The Menu.
The first thing that inspired me in theatre...
Seeing Pantomime in Swansea Theatre and being 1st on stage when the children were called up. Also amateur acting at the age of 10 in the local village group.

Dorothy Squires

I have been doing a one woman show on the life and music of the late great Welsh Diva Dorothy Squires. Took it to Edinburgh in 1998 and toured it 1999, revived it last year and took it to a couple of festivals. It charts her life and relationship with Roger Moore and of course her huge success as a star. In 1952 she had £3million in the bank, by 1979 she was broke and by the beginning of the 90's she had been taken in by a fan to live out her days in the Rhondda. Quite a story. I have just returned from doing Henley Fringe Festival with a play based on the life of a Welsh Diva called Dorothy Squires. The play was extremely successful in Edinburgh when I 1st performed it and subsequently when I did a short tour of Wales, also taking in The Westminster Theatre in London, the only venue where the play was performed outside of Wales.
