Profile Information

What I do... (Actor, director, designer, teacher etc?)
Playwright, gag writer
My Quick CV
A full length play written January - April 2007 got somewhere in the Verity Bargate Award but not far enough. Several short pieces including "Wonderful Guy" with Steve O'Toole and Catherine Potter. Gag writing BBC radio credit. My first produced play "For The Public Good" had a five-day run at Barons Court Theatre in September 2008 directed by Alex Summers with Daisy Aitkens, Hilary Burns, Antonia Christy, Clareine Cronin and Laura Waddell. In January 2009 organized the first "Sitcom Saturday" at Westminster Reference Library - rehearsed readings of six brand-new sitcoms in bitesize fifteen-minute pieces. March/April 2009 Produced and wrote a topical farce "Swimming Naked" at Barons Court Theatre. Directed by Catherine Arden and starring Catherine Potter, Maggie Robson and Mark Shaer.
The first thing that inspired me in theatre...
Oh gosh ... Seeing my primary school teachers in Am Dram light operetta? Jimmy Clitheroe at Harrogate? Narrating the school nativity play and an infant version of "The Pied Piper of Hamelin"? I'm full of question marks ...
My favourite theatre something is...
Do I really have to choose?
The thing that annoys me about our industry...
Haven't been in it long enough but give me time ...

Hi Alice! So sorry, i've been away on a tour which finishes this Easter Sunday. Is your show on next week sometime? Actually, I must check the email you sent me. If so, I'll come along. I see Catherine Potter is in it too - she's lovely and very good. If it extends to next week, I'll definitely come along.

If you're coming along to the next AWL, I'll look out for you! In the meantime, I hope the run is going really well! Give my luv to Catherine too.

Best Wishes
Nadia

What does Goldnutmeg mean in relation to you?

I am juggling an acting class and PP this year so Monday's are pretty busy. Am back at PP on the 12th Jan to do a reading for John Horne which is great. Made it to Fringe Report just after 10pm after my class. Missing you all at PP. though Was it a good un?
