What I do... (Actor, director, designer, teacher etc?)
Theatre Manager
My Quick CV
I graduated from Edge Hill University in 2004 with a BA hons in Drama. After stepping out of the safe educational bubble, I jumped my way up the career ladder in quite an unconventional way, and spent several years away from the theatre scene in the persuit of new skills and experiences.

The hard work paid off, at the start of 2009 I got back into what I love and took up the position of Theatre Manager at Bishop Greaves Theatre in Lincoln. Set within the Bishop Grosseteste University College campus, it is a newly created role and I have been given two years to make it work!
The first thing that inspired me in theatre...
Is there a first thing? I can recall many inspirational moments, and have met many wonderful people with seemingly endless enthusiasm, skill, creativity and passion for the industry. My first focus was acting, but I have come to discover that there are other elements to theatre that give me a buzz and are worth exploring.
My favourite theatre something is...
At the moment I am all about audience awareness and encouraging people to take advantage of the quality theatre available on their doorstep. Generally being a part of, and contributing to, my local cultural community.

Professional Touring Theatre Companies needed for Autumn/Winter 2009 season at BG Theatre

The news is in; as part of their service review the Lincoln City Council have pulled their arts funding for the Rural Touring Scheme. This will take effect from May 2009. Without their large subsidy (50% of performance fees) and at such short notice it is unlikely that Bishop Greaves Theatre, Lincoln will be able to continue participating in this scheme.

Set within a University College campus, and nestled between Lincoln’s cultural quarter and a large residential area to the north of the city,… Continue
