Profile Information

What I do... (Actor, director, designer, teacher etc?)
Actress, director, teacher, singer, writer & owner of stage school. Cancer Research UK fundraiser.
My Quick CV
Natasha Cole. Holotype.
CDS Trained @ Italia Conti, Avondale Hall - graduated 1997 B.A. Hons Acting. Lead female vocalist of Rock/Blues band The Rhymer Man (see google) & lyricist. The Rhymer Man has been popular in Chicago this year. See site.
Set up own stage schools - training students professionally & am currently setting up an agency. Have hired myself & adult students out for events & I am successfully finding my own paid work. I took a break from acting when I started a family and developed my stage schools. On my return, I am amazed at how much more communication there is now with the advance in internet technology. I am writing, directing & producing my own material & actively seeking to publish my play. Also, I have embarked on a new play which I am devising with my adult theatre group. I would like to film these in the near future and take them to things like 'Sloping Mirrors'.
The Lyrics below and melodies are written by Natasha Cole & music by band TRM. All Rights Reserved to TRM Cole / Ward / Rhymer with thanks for the inspiration from the musical "Oh What a Lovely War" & for giving us inspiration for our song Brand New Britain. TRM's song The Seer is currently popular across the airwaves of Chicago. Check out John Ball Lightning on MySpace to hear more TRM music.
The first thing that inspired me in theatre...
At primary school, I couldn't work out why the other children spoke like robots in the school play and decided to play my parts from the heart. I got a standing ovation and never looked back! I have felt it from as young as I can remember and would say I was inspired before I was born! Something inside me as natural as breathing. My first true inspiration was physical theatre which I saw at the National and also a blinding performance of King Lear at the National when I was a young teenager. Shakespeare will always have my heart.
My favourite theatre something is...
Standing in a theatre and feeling more alive than I do anywhere else!
The thing that annoys me about our industry...
The industry drop out rate & all the reasons for it.

Above some of the soundtrack to my play 'The Leopard on the Rock' - by my band TRM. The vocals and music written by TRM, The Rhymer Man (see above) and Tom Loose (The ballad of Amber and Luke). The songs, Legends, Whispering Lights, Shine On and Just Another Dreamer are featured in the play. The story continues during these songs, however the story is told purely as a physical visual through the actors. The show will be raising money for Cancer Research - with a percentage of tickets sales donated to CRUK.
