Payam Hosseinian (Born 1977-Tehran) is an Iranian Theatre and radio actor as well as a voice over artist and narrator. He has been working with IRIB radio plays organization since 1997 in the capacity of a senior actor in leading roles like “Cyrus The Great”, “Genghis Khan”, ” Jahanpahlavan Takhti” and in many foreign plays like “The great Gatsby”,” Shining”, “ The Green Mile” and so many others. He also translated the play” When We Dead Awaken” By Henrik Ibsen, and worked for IRIB Radio as a live presenter and broadcaster.

He started his career as a voice over and narrator in the capacity of a permanent member and auditor of “The Iranian Dubbing Artists and Directors Association” in 2000 and worked as a lip-synch voice over in many films among them “Henry the V” voicing Derek Jacobi,”The Remain of the Day” (Anthony Hopkins) and “The Matrix” (Hugo Weaving” and many others. At the same time he narrated foreign documentaries produced by BBC like “The warriors of the world War II” as well as domestic prize winning ones like “ Jaan-e Marjaan” and “ Brazil, The Land of Coffee and Football”…

Payam had the chance to work with theatre directors like Akbar Zanjanpour and Nader Borhani, and appeared in stage productions like “The Three Sisters”and “Macbeth” in Tehran and Paris. He is a graduate of Theatre& Performance at MA level from the University of Sheffield, UK. His main areas of study and interest are , Performance as Research, live art, devising theatre, the performer and the audience, directing theatre, community theatre, political theatre, Persian traditional drama and voice training and speech methods for stage and microphone.
