Profile Information

What I do... (Actor, director, designer, teacher etc?)
We train actors who like to work. And we do so in a safe and nurturing environment.

However, we are not interested in perpetually training. Set your goals and make it count from this moment. Now. We train actors as if their life and their livelihood depends on their ability to deliver their talent on demand. Because in stage combat it does.

If you come on a foundation or pre-professional course with YoungBlood then the training is gentle and encouraging. If you are pursuing a professional qualification with YoungBlood you will train hard. You will probably love it.

From the moment you come into the YoungBlood classroom we develop your potential as a professional collaborator. We want you to achieve beyond your own expectations. We train you so that one day we can go onstage with you and trust our safety to someone who is professionally trained and responsible. You.

We want you to push yourself, and that is why we push ourselves.

- Tim Klotz
DIRECTOR, YoungBlood
My Quick CV
YoungBlood courses are created to suit the actor’s needs and prepare them for the industry.

Intensives generally span a week or longer, enabling the actor to achieve a strong base of fight skills. Many intensives include the option of certification through the BADC or another internationally recognised stage combat association.

Weekend workshops allow actors to refresh and maintain their fighting skills, or for more experienced actor combatants to learn new martial styles. Sometimes introductory weekend workshops are offered for the absolute beginner to stage combat.
