Profile Information

What I do... (Actor, director, designer, teacher etc?)
In my second year at Central School of Speech and Drama, on a BA (hons) Theatre Practice: Scenic Art degree. Basically painting stage clothes, adding paint finishes to props, and paint effects to make aspects of the set appear real.
Interested in scenic arts in both film and theatre.
Would like to have a go at everything and anything.
My Quick CV
I have completed foundation art course at Camberwell College of Art, and currently in my second year at Central School Of Speech and Drama.
Experience in scenic painting, and some other experience in backstage crewing.
The first thing that inspired me in theatre...
My earliest memory of this was my first ever visit to the theatre, to see Cirque du Soleil's Alegria at the Royal Albert Hall, and being absorbed into the show with it's theme of jubilation, simple background and how the characters play out their lives. While most audiences of movies and theatre appreciate the acting or music showcased by the production, artists and painters are sure to notice the backgrounds used to establish the mood and setting. Scenic artists or painters produce backgrounds that are quite realistic. Our aim is to transport an audience to the actual time and place depicted in the play or film.
My favourite theatre something is...
Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Avenue Q, Imagine this, Matchgirls .........
The thing that annoys me about our industry...
that there aren't many of us around.

Work Experience at Compass Theatre, Ickenham

Helped out backstage with, 'Todys' Youth theatre company at the Compass theatre in Ickenham, with the show, 'Showstoppers 2007'. Basically the show consisted with lots of well-known songs, from famous stageshows, musicals and films. I helped out backstage with costume changes, microphones, and moving the set around. Tremendous fun lol. On the finale night of the last show, a couple of us including I learnt the dance to shout, and got up on the stage and danced.
