Speech writing is in lots of ways similar writing a paper, apart from that there is no penalty for spelling and punctuation mistakes. You should not try to write words in your speech that you are not relaxed pronouncing or don't know the meaning of because it can lead to a less fluently delivered speech.

I have been doing a one woman show on the life and music of the late great Welsh Diva Dorothy Squires. Took it to Edinburgh in 1998 and toured it 1999, revived it last year and took it to a couple of festivals. It charts her life and relationship with Roger Moore and of course her huge success as a star. In 1952 she had £3million in the bank, by 1979 she was broke and by the beginning of the 90's she had been taken in by a fan to live out her days in the Rhondda. Quite a story. The last performa…
