Cellorhythmics – Acoustic Project 8

Cellorhythmics is the creation of James Hesford and Alfia Nakipbekova – Alfia has a peerless classical pedigree while James is a thoroughbred jazzer.

Their Acoustic Project is a series of ten concerts, each one featuring a new composition and a new instrument described as 'progressive chamber music'. For each episode James Hesford composes music based on found objects and in some cases 'found' musicians.

Each installment will inspire the next and, as the series continues, so group will grow from a quartet to a small orchestra.

'An awesome rapport and commitment to their artistic vision...music that will intrigue and delight...(www.jazzviews.com)

James Hesford (cello/violin/guitar/harmonicas), Alfia Nakipbekova (cello), John Cottle (cello), Brett Findlay (tablas), Sergio Laviola (bass/guitar), Mikey Kirkpartrick (flute), Josie Simmons (saxes), Aiden McConville (French Horn) –
