Real Circumstance Theatre Company - Applications for Rehearsed Readings

Real Circumstance is looking for emergent artists to nurture through a series of rehearsed readings. As a writer, actor or director, this is your opportunity to practise your craft in a supportive environment facilitated by Real Circumstance, a theatre company rapidly gaining acclaim for its dedication to new ways of playmaking.

The first session will take place on Saturday 24th October 2009 11am – 6pm at the Arts Centre, Colchester.

Writers: please send one or two scenes from a work in progress that you would like to have directed and read. Please attach a summary sheet detailing basic information about the characters (gender, age etc).

Actors and Directors: please send us your CV and a few details about yourself.

We are looking to develop artists and welcome applicants looking to gain experience.

The session will involve rehearsal of the scenes followed by readings and group discussion with other artists and Real Circumstance. Sessions will occur once a month.

Each session will cost £10 for participating artists.

Audience: If you would like to join the session as an audience member to participate in discussing the work please also send us an email and we will be happy to book you into the afternoon session for free.

If you are interested, please contact Ruth Brock on ruth@realcircumstance.com.
