Strange World Come to the Usher Theatre December 4 at 7.30 admission £6

See what other people have said about this fantastic group

Strangeworld came to The Acoustic Kitchen with a big reputation for a quality and eclectic repertoire - and the attentive audience were not disappointed. From the first haunting sounds of Anna's oboe and the deep resonance ot the cello (newest band member Simon Cooper is an absolute gem of a find for the band), to the foot stomping influences of Andy's piano accordion and front man Bryan Causton's cittern-we sat in stunned silence as they weaved their magic; then came the applause and the encores. What a pity we only had 45 minutes of their honestly excellent musicianship, very tight arrangements and delightful banter. They will be back so watch their gig pages"

Pete Kitchen, The Acoustic Kitchen , King’s Lynn, Norfolk

"Having found their two CDs full of irresistable tunes, I had the feeling that Strangeworld would wow our audience despite being relatively unknown on the South Coast (and not doing any singing!). I was proved right, the fabulous musicianship, wide ranging influences and sheer quality of the material won the day and our audience went home very happy !"

Nick Westcott , The Lamb Folk Club , Eastbourne
"Your set was one of pure quality - innovative arrangements, musically and technically excellent, dynamic and compelling material that made real contact with the audience who loved every minute of it! "

Sandy & Graham Ball (Priddy Festival and Folk at the Oak, Corsham)

" Superlative musicians with a varied and enjoyable repertoire.
Deservedly popular with our members. A delight to listen to "

"Beautiful and inspiring music - our members are clamouring for the return of this group "

Della & Chris (Red Lion Folk Club-Birmingham)

" Wonderful musicians gave us an evening of exquisite tunes and melodies. With such a variety of arrangements Strangeworld kept us enthralled throughout the night. The audience can feel the magic when a group of musicians get together and automatically gel. These certainly do that "
Terry Walden (The Milkmaid Folk Club-Bury St Edmunds)

" Strangeworld play such beautiful music that takes you to places well beyond any earthly location. Straight to the heart ! Great musicians, wonderful tunes "

Pete Morton

" Thank you Strangeworld for performing such a wonderful set - our regulars were stunned and spellbound by the perfection of your performance "

Keef and Annie (The Acoustic Club, The Half Moon,Bishop's Stortford)

" Strangeworld encompasses the best of every musical era, creating a new entity which is addictive to the listener and player. Brainchild of Shave the Monkey musician, Bryan Causton, he has brought together talented musicians, with a unique combination of instruments and styles, to produce a really great sound - a sound that is both stimulating and addictive
