Profile Information

What I do... (Actor, director, designer, teacher etc?): I am a member of the Jal Folk Theatre Company. We run a workshop called 'How do you Perform' which helps people in business and organisations to improve their skills and understanding about the way they behave and motivate themselves and their employees/teams etc, through the art of role play and acting. This is a lot of fun and a wonderful way to help people find a new way of expressing themselves and relating to their environment and those they work with.

My Quick CV: Trained with Patrick Jasper Lee at the Jal Folk Theatre School. I am now a part of the 'How do you Perform' team and we run workshops all over the country. We are also travelling players and tour the country with talks and performances which include a lot of authentic folklore and traditional techniques, dances and stories.

The first thing that inspired me in theatre...: My mum was an actress in the 1950's and as a result managed to put me off acting as a child! But...she took me to the theatre which I really loved and I fell in love with it all. At about age 11, we'd go to the National and choose something out of the blue. It was wonderfully thrilling and a great inspiration.

My favourite theatre something is...: Emotional, I want to move and be moved!

The thing that annoys me about our industry...: Arty fart stuff that doesn't mean anything to us as emotional beings.
